Elderly man in wheelchair struck, killed by car at MLK and 35th

TULSA, OK – A vehicle struck and killed and elderly man in a wheelchair Monday night along a busy roadway in north-central Tulsa, reports Fox 23 News.

The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. at M.L.K. Jr. Boulevard and East 35th Place North, which is north of Gilcrease Expressway and south of West 36th Street North.

Police say that a northbound vehicle struck the victim as his wheelchair travelled southbound on the northbound side of M.L.K. Jr. Boulevard.

Authorities identified the victim as Charles Marshall.

The driver involved in the collision did stop to render aid and speak with police.

A full investigation is underway.
