Man struck, killed at OK-74 and 130th St near Wayne

MCCLAIN CO., OK – A 55-year-old man died over the weekend in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in central McClain County, reports kxii 12.
The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. Sunday night in the area of OK-74 and 130th Street. This is between the cities of Payne and Wayne.
Police say the victim had parked his pickup truck along the side of the highway to assist with a disabled vehicle. When he got out of his truck, an SUV struck him.
The victim, identified as Kenneth Jones of Healdton, died after transport to an area hospital.
It’s unclear if the driver of the SUV will face charges.
A full investigation is underway.
