Injuries reported in 2-car crash near Lexington Bridge

CLEVELAND CO., OK – At least two people sustained injuries Monday in a major collision in southwest Cleveland County, reports KOCO News 5. 

The incident occurred sometime in the late afternoon or early evening along US-77 near the Lexington Bridge. This is between Lexington and Purcell.

Police haven’t shared any details about the cause or circumstances of the crash except to say that it involved two vehicles and two people.

Medics airlifted one person to an area hospital. The other driver went to the hospital via ground ambulance.

Officials closed the bridge while emergency teams worked to assist the victims and clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
