2-vehicle crash at OK-3E and Rock Creek Rd kills 1, hurts 2

SHAWNEE, OK – A Shawnee man died Sunday night in a two-vehicle collision on the eastern outskirts of the city, reports KOCO News 5. 

The crash happened just before 8:30 p.m. near Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park at the intersection of State Highway 3E and Rock Creek Road.

Police haven’t yet disclosed the cause or circumstances of the accident. They say it involved a 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche and a 2013 Nissan Altima.

Medics transported a passenger from the Altima to an area hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the wreck. Authorities identified the victim as Jacob Anderson.

Both drivers went to the hospital with unknown injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
