Semi strikes, kills man on I-44 WB near 49th W Ave

TULSA, OK – A pedestrian died Sunday morning when an 18-wheeler struck him along the interstate in southwest Tulsa, reports Fox 23 News.
The accident happened shortly before 1 a.m. on the westbound side of I-44 near South 49th West Avenue. This is west of South Haven and north of Oaks Country Club.
It’s unclear if the victim was walking along the shoulder or in a lane of travel when the semi hit him.
Authorities pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. They identified him as 43-year-old Wesley Wiley of Oklahoma city.
The two occupants of the semi-truck were unhurt in the wreck.
A full investigation is underway.
