Indianola motorcyclist killed in crash on OK-113 at Lakeshore

PITTSBURG CO., OK – A 37-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Saturday evening in a motorcycle accident along the highway in north-central Pittsburg County, reports KTUL News 8.
The crash happened shortly before 7 p.m. on the westbound side of OK-113 near Lakeshore Drive, which is just east of Indianola and about 85 miles south of Tulsa.
Police say that a motorcycle left OK-113 and overturned after the operator lost control of the bike at a curve in the road.
The motorcyclist, identified as Jay C. Marshall of Indianola, died at the scene of the wreck.
Authorities say that Marshall was likely speeding when he lost control of the motorcycle.
There were no additional passengers on the bike at the time of the crash.
