Dad, child critically hurt in ATV crash on E 40 Rd in Quapaw

QUAPAW, OK – A man and a child sustained serious injuries Tuesday in a crash involving an all-terrain-vehicle in north-central Ottawa County, reports fourstateshomepage.com.
The incident occurred along East 40 Road in the city of Quapaw. Officials haven’t yet provided a cross street for the accident.
There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the collision, which police say involved an ATV and a pickup truck.
Medics transported the 54-year-old driver of the ATV to an area hospital with critical injuries.
A 9-year-old boy also sustained critical injuries, and went to a Tulsa hospital via air ambulance.
The 19-year-old driver of the pickup truck did not sustain injuries in the accident. Police say he is the son of the ATV driver.
A full investigation is underway.
