Motorcycle and pickup collide at US-69 and S 580, killing 2

OTTAWA CO., OK – Two people died, and a third person sustained injuries Thursday in a two-vehicle collision along the highway in north-central Ottawa County, reports News Talk KZRG.
The accident happened shortly before 9 p.m. at the intersection of US-69 and South 580 Road, which is just east of Commerce and south of the Oklahoma and Kansas border.
Police aren’t sure what caused the wreck, which involved a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 2010 Ford F150.
Both the operator and passenger of the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Authorities identified the victims as 45-year-old Nicholas L. Malpass and 44-year-old Sharon L. Malpass.
The 16-year-old driver of the pickup truck went to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
