Investigation underway after fatal crash at E Britton and N Sooner

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A fatality has been reported in connection to an overnight crash at a busy intersection on the northeast side of Oklahoma City, reports KOCO News 5.

The accident happened around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday near East Britton Road and North Sooner Road, which is east of I-35 and south of River Oaks Golf Club.

There’s no word so far about the cause of the wreck or the number of vehicles involved, nor have authorities identified the victim.

Officials likely closed at least one lane in the area of the collision while emergency teams responded to the scene and worked to clear the wreckage.

Police are actively investigating the accident. We’ll post updates to the blog if we learn more about the victim or the circumstances of the crash.
