Fiery semi crash on I-40 at Old Hwy 64 near Muldrow kills 1

SEQUOYAH COUNTY, OK – A 47-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Tuesday morning in a semi crash along the interstate in southeast Sequoyah County, reports Fox 23 News.
The accident happened shortly after 6 a.m. near the intersection of I-40 and Old US Highway 64. This is just southeast of Muldrow and about 107 miles southeast of Tulsa.
Police say that for unknown reasons, Derick Turner of Paris, Arkansas, lost control of his 18-wheeler, crashed through the barrier on I-40 eastbound, and fell from the overpass onto Old Highway 64.
The semi then caught fire, and Turner succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
There were no other vehicles involved and no additional passengers in the truck.
