NOBLE CO., OK – Emergency crews responded to an injury collision along the interstate in southwest Noble County on Monday, reports Fox 25.
The incident occurred early in the morning on I-35 north of Perry. This is just over an hour north of Oklahoma City.
Police say that an initial crash involving a vehicle and a deer caused a subsequent collision involving a car hauler and a semi-truck.
According to officials, the car that struck the deer became disabled in a lane of travel on I-35. An 18-wheeler slowed to avoid colliding with the vehicle, at which point a car hauler hit the semi.
No injuries have been reported thus far from among the four passengers of the car that hit the deer.
The driver of the car hauler sustained minor injuries in the accident. It’s unclear if they required hospitalization.
Officials closed the interstate in the area of the collision for several hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
