Drunk driver killed, 2 passengers injured in Noble Co. rollover

NOBLE CO., OK – One person died, and two people sustained injuries Monday night in a single-vehicle rollover crash in south-central Noble County, reports News 9.
The solo crash occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. on County Road 150 southeast of Perry. This is near Black Bear Junction and about an hour north of Oklahoma City.
Police say that 29-year-old Boyd Sumpter was intoxicated and unrestrained when he lost control his southbound vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and overturn.
The impact threw Sumpter and an unrestrained female passenger from the vehicle. Authorities declared Sumpter deceased at the scene of the accident. It’s unclear if the ejected passenger required hospitalization.
Medics transported a second passenger to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening leg injury.
