1 killed, 1 injured in moped crash at NS 3560 Rd and EW 1410 Rd

SEMINOLE CO., OK – A 38-year-old woman died Friday in a two-vehicle collision involving a moped in southwest Seminole County, reports OKC Fox 25.
The accident happened at the intersection of NS 3560 Road and EW 1410 Road, which is just northeast of Konawa and about 72 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.
Police say that a car carrying two people struck a southbound moped carrying two people when the operator of the moped failed to heed a stop sign at the intersection.
A passenger on the moped, identified as Misty Jefferson, succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash.
Medics airlifted the moped operator, identified as 35-year-old Kody Stewart, to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Neither the driver of the car nor the passenger sustained injuries in the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
