2-car crash at OK-19 and OK-33 near Paul’s Valley kills 1

GARVIN CO., OK – A 48-year-old woman died, and two men sustained injuries Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision in northeast Garvin County, reports KTUL News 8.
Shortly before 6 p.m., emergency crews were called to assist with a major crash at the intersection of OK-19 and OK-33 on the northeastern outskirts of Paul’s Valley. This is about 60 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.
Police say that airbags deployed when a Honda Accord and a Kia Forte collided at the intersection. There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the accident or the manner in which the two vehicles impacted.
A passenger in the Kia, identified as Sheila Smith, died after transport to an area hospital.
Medics airlifted both drivers to area hospitals with critical injuries. Authorities identified the drivers as 31-year-old Trever Brooks and 48-year-old Jeremy Smith.
