SUV, pickup collide near SW 44th and S Walker, injuring 3

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Three people sustained injuries following a two-vehicle collision on the fourth of July in south-central Oklahoma City, reports News on 6.
Around 1 a.m., police and medics responded to a major crash in the area of Southwest 44th Street and South Walker Avenue, which is just south of Hosea Vineyard Park and north of Mike Dover Park.
The accident involved an SUV carrying at least two people and a pickup truck. It’s not yet clear what might have caused the two vehicles two collide.
Medics transported two people from the SUV to an area hospital with critical injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck did not require hospitalization.
Motorists likely encountered delays overnight in the area of the crash while emergency crews helped the victims and worked to clear the scene.
