N Garnett in Owasso closed after motorcycle crash with injuries

OWASSO, OK – A motorcyclist sustained critical injuries Saturday in what appears to have been a single-vehicle crash on the north side of Owasso, reports News 9.

Around 5 p.m., emergency crews were called to a major accident at the intersection of North Garnett Road and 100th Street North, which is just southeast of Bailey Medical Center and west of Ascension St. John Owasso.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the biker hit the center median on the roadway. The motorcycle overturned, ejecting the rider.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officials closed North Garnett in the area of the crash while medics attended to the victim and crews worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway. Anyone with information or tips to share can contact the Owasso Police Department.
