Single-vehicle crash on I-44 near Walters kills driver and passenger

COTTON CO., OK – A single-vehicle collision that happened along the interstate in central Cotton County on Saturday morning claimed two lives, reports Texoma’s homepage.
The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. on I-44 south of Walters, which is just over two hours southwest of Oklahoma City.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a car carrying one passenger lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, and struck a guardrail.
Both occupants of the vehicle became entrapped and ultimately succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash.
Authorities identified the victims as Kenneth and Sheryl Ryan of Wichita Falls.
There’s no word yet regarding the driver’s condition at the time of the accident.
