OKC PD responds to injury collision at NE 23rd and N Missouri

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Injuries have been reported in connection to a two-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday on the northeast side of Oklahoma City, reports News 9.
Around 6:30 a.m., emergency teams responded to a major accident at the intersection of Northeast 23rd Street and North Missouri Avenue, which is west of I-35 and northeast of Riley Leroy Pitts Park.
Police say that a vehicle overturned after colliding with another car. It’s not yet clear what caused the crash.
The driver in the overturned vehicle became entrapped and required extrication. That person went to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
The other driver did not sustain injuries in the accident.
Drivers likely faced delays at the start of rush hour Wednesday morning while crews worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
