OKC PD investigate fatal hit-and-run along S Rockwell

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A man sustained fatal injuries Tuesday night when a vehicle hit him along a major roadway in west-central Oklahoma City, reports KOCO News 5.

Shortly before midnight, emergency crews were called to an auto-pedestrian crash just south of I-40 on South Rockwell Avenue. This is just southeast of OKC Outlets.

Police say that an unknown vehicle struck a male pedestrian in the roadway. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid or to speak with authorities.

The pedestrian died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released his name to the public.

No details have been released concerning the driver’s identity, nor do we have a description of the vehicle involved in the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
