Man, 73, hospitalized following boat collision in Hugo

HUGO, OK – A 73-year-old man was hospitalized following a boat collision that took place at Hugo Lake on Thursday, according to OKCFOX.
A 68-year-old man, identified as James Jones, was operating the Lowe Bass boat when he failed to notice a sandbar and crashed into it. The force of the collision caused his passenger, 73-year-old Ted Jones, to fall overboard.
Ted was struck by the boat and its propeller.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol and ambulance personnel responded to the scene after 1:30 p.m. EMS crews took Ted to a hospital, and he appears to be in stable condition.
