Update: Red light runner causes fatal pickup truck crash in Midwest City

MIDWEST CITY, OK – On Tuesday, Midwest City police announced publicly that they believed a driver ran a red light prior to a fatal pickup truck crash that happened in Midwest City on Monday.
KOCO said the driver who ran the red light and drove the pickup truck was also reportedly going 100 mph on NW 23rd Street when they collided with another pickup truck. The two truck crashes occurred before 9:30 p.m.
According to KFOR, Midwest City police said the occupants of the other truck, a man, a woman, and two children, were served. EMS crews transported them to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
