LONE GROVE, OK – Two people were injured in a collision between an SUV and a school bus in Lone Grove on Monday.
The crash happened around 7:45 a.m. on Lindale Road, KTEN reports. Preliminary details reveal that the SUV driver crashed head-on into the Plainview Public Schools bus while pursuing a right turn.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol determined that the SUV driver’s visibility was reduced because of the ice on her windshield, which played a major role in the crash.
OHP also confirmed that the school bus driver was negotiating a curve at the time of the collision.
The two drivers sustained minor injuries, while the children on board the bus were uninjured.
First responders transported the SUV driver to a hospital, but did not say if the bus driver also required a trip to the emergency room.
