TULSA, OK – An alleged DUI driver was arrested after causing a rollover collision in Tulsa on Thursday, KTUL reports.
The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. on the 5300th block of South Memorial Drive. Preliminary details show that the suspected impaired driver rear-ended another vehicle.
The force of the crash caused the other vehicle to overturn, and left the accused DUI driver’s vehicle with significant damage.
The other driver, an unidentified female, sustained injuries that appeared non-life-threatening and was treated by paramedics at the scene.
It’s unclear if the suspected intoxicated driver was injured, but first responders said they took him to a hospital as a precaution.
Tulsa police have identified the alleged drunk driver as 21-year-old Leonardo Gomez.
Gomez confessed to drinking alcoholic beverages since 11 p.m. and also exhibited signs of intoxication, police said.
Police also noticed several open containers of alcohol in Gomez’s car and arrested him and booked him into the Tulsa County Jail.
