UPDATE: Man dies after pickup truck crash outside Reasor’s in Owasso

OWASSO, OK – A man who was struck by his own pickup truck outside of Reasor’s last Sunday, Jan. 25 has died, according to an update from FOX23.
The pickup truck crash occurred after 12 p.m. at Reasor’s located at 11815 East 86th St N.
The incident began when the pickup truck driver started his truck and got out to clear ice off his windshield. As he worked to clear the ice, his truck began to roll forward. The driver did what he could to stop it. However, despite his best efforts, his own truck ran him over.
A Good Samaritan saw what unfolded and helped the man by getting into his truck, putting it in park, and turning off the ignition.
EMS crews rushed to the scene and transported the pickup truck driver to a hospital. There, he later died from his injuries. He has since been identified as 76-year-old Larry Wasson.
Owasso Police are investigating the details behind the pickup truck crash, which occurred during a winter storm that affected more than 30 states.
