KINGSTON, OK – A female driver escaped injuries after a train-car crash that occurred on South Willis Street in Kingston on Wednesday, KTEN reports.
Kingston Police said the incident unfolded when the woman, driving a Fiat car, slowed down as she approached the railroad tracks. She came onto the tracks slowly but failed to yield, which led to a collision with a BNSF freight train.
The woman’s car was left with moderate damage. Officials noted that the railroad crossing had a sign, but no gate.
Footage showed there were also two cyclists along or on the tracks when the woman approached. They cycled away once they saw the approaching train and were uninjured as well.
