Female pedestrian fatally struck by semi-truck in SW OKC

SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A female pedestrian died after getting struck by a semi-truck on Interstate 44 near Southwest 134th Street on Tuesday.

The pedestrian-truck collision occurred on the interstate’s northbound lanes, News9 said. Preliminary details show that the female pedestrian intentionally stepped into oncoming traffic, raised her hands, and then was run over by the truck.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol pronounced the female pedestrian dead at the scene and believes she may have struggled with suicidal ideation.

OHP shut down northbound I-44 near Southwest 134th Street for the scene clean-up process.
