UPDATE: 2 Elgin Public School students hospitalized after rear-end crash with semi-truck

ELGIN, OK – Two Elgin Public School students were transported to a hospital after a rear-end crash involving a semi-truck on Monday.
The district’s superintendent confirmed the update with KSWO, saying the students were transported to OU Medical Center. One student was released from the hospital and is at home. The other is expected to be released this week.
Thirty-eight or 39 students were on board the bus when it was rear-ended by a semi-truck on Interstate 44. Fifteen students were evaluated for injuries after the rear-end crash and then released by the doctors.
The bus driver worked the next day.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has not announced any charges at this time.
