NEAR DURANT, OK – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the details behind a deadly pickup truck collision five miles north of Durant that claimed one life on Thursday.
OHP told KTEN that the crash happened before 9:30 a.m. on State Highway 48/78. Preliminary details reveal that a driver of a gold 2003 Toyota pickup truck was driving on the outside shoulder when they collided with a 2013 red Ford pickup truck with an attached trailer.
The driver of the red pickup truck was making a right turn onto a private driveway when the collision occurred. The impact of the crash caused the gold pickup truck to overturn and eject its driver.
