Man 55, dead following collision on outskirts of Meeker

MEERKER, OK – A 55-year-old man, local to Meeker, died as a result of a collision that happened on OK State Highway 18 North near East 1070 Road on Friday.

The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m., according to Koco. The incident unfolded when one driver veered out of theirnorthbound lane and into the southbound lane and collided with another vehicle, occupied by the Meeker man.

The local man, identified as Jeffrey Bruton, died, while his passenger and the driver were injured.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
