TULSA, OK – A 46-year-old male motorcyclist died as a result of a crash involving an SUV on Saturday, according to KTUL.
The crash happened before 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of East 46th Street and South Sheridan Boulevard. Tulsa Police believe a 91-year-old man, driving an SUV, failed to yield the right of way to the oncoming 2024 Harley motorcycle going south on Sheridan. As a result, the SUV driver struck the motorcycle as he was turning west onto 46th Street from northbound Sheridan.
Once the SUV and motorcycle made contact, the motorcyclist fell off his bike.
EMS crews rushed the motorcyclist, later identified as Justin Dye, to a hospital, where he later died.
Police started an investigation and have not confirmed whether they could cite the SUV driver.
