Teen dies several weeks following collision in Marietta

MARIETTA, OK – An 18-year-old teenager died several weeks after a collision in Marietta, according to OKCFOX.
The crash occurred before 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 9 on U.S. 77. Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the 18-year-old teenager was reportedly speeding on northbound U.S. 77 and lost control of his car as he tried to overtake another vehicle. As he lost control of his car, drifted off the road and crashed into an embankment.
The teenager’s car became airborne and eventually came to rest 277 feet away from the crash.
EMS crews rushed the teenager to a hospital in Plano, where he died this week.
