Man, 44, killed in two-vehicle crash in Council Hill

COUNCIL HILL, OK – A 44-year-old man lost his life to a two-vehicle crash that happened on State Highway 72 North, west of the Elm Grove Baptist Church on Saturday.

The crash happened before 4:30 p.m., according to Fox23. One driver was traveling south when they crossed the center line and then crashed into a northbound vehicle.

The driver of the northbound vehicle, later identified as Daniel Buchanan from Henryetta, died from his injuries, while the southbound driver was injured.

OHP confirmed Buchanan was the sole occupant of his vehicle.

OHP has not confirmed what caused the southbound driver to lose control of their vehicle.
