Teen, 17, killed after car crashes into tree in Cookson

COOKSON, OK – A 17-year-old was killed after they crashed their car into a tree in Cookson on Thursday, Fox23 said.
The incident unfolded around 7 p.m. on State Highway 100. The teenager was driving when, for reasons unclear, they went off the road and came onto an embankment. They plowed into a tree, which caused their vehicle to overturn.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the driver did not wear a seatbelt and died from their injuries a short time later.
