1 killed, another critically hurt in head-on crash in NW OKC

NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person was killed, and another was critically injured in a head-on crash that occurred along Lake Hefner on Monday, KFOR said.

Police were dispatched to the area of West Hefner Road and North Meridian Avenue and arrived at the scene around 7 a.m. Police determined that the driver of a westbound vehicle veered out of their lane and crashed head-on into an eastbound vehicle.

The driver of the westbound vehicle died from their injuries at the scene, while the driver of the eastbound vehicle was hospitalized for critical injuries.

Officials have not released the victim’s name at this time.
