1 life claimed, 5 hospitalized after head-on collision near Dickson

NEAR DICKSON, OK – One person’s life was claimed, and five others were brought to the hospital following a head-on collision near Dickson on Saturday.

The Dickson Fire Chief told KTEN that two vehicles crashed head-on on Highway 199, just east of Peacon Street, between the Dickson and Mannsville communities.

Authorities did not specify the events leading up to the crash, but said the impact caused one man to succumb to his injuries. Five others sustained unspecified injuries and were taken to the emergency room for treatment.

Police are actively working to piece together the cause of the crash and urge the public to contact their department immediately if they have any information on the deadly crash.
