Kansas man killed in hit-and-run crash near Wynnewood

NEAR WYNNEWOOD, OK – A 24-year-old man from Kansas was killed in a hit-and-run crash that took place south of Wynnewood on Friday.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol told KXII12 that the crash happened on Interstate 35 South. The Kansas man, later identified as Taron Traylor, was walking towards a vehicle in the southbound lane when he was struck by a vehicle.

The driver who hit Traylor did not render aid to him and immediately fled the scene.

Traylor unfortunately died from his injuries at the scene. Troopers have not yet identified the suspect or confirmed what vehicle they drove.
