Officials shut down I-44 West in OKC due to semi-truck crash

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Officials closed the majority of Interstate-44 West in Oklahoma City due to a Thursday afternoon semi-truck crash.

Authorities said the closures began along the Northwest Expressway and that they closed several lanes, except for one for the on-scene clean-up process, according to News9.

During the clean-up process, drivers were told to expect delays and consider alternative routes.

At least one ambulance was at the scene of the crash, although it is not immediately clear whether anyone was injured.

Updates, which include the cause of the crash, will be added after we learn more.
