Accident shuts down lanes on I-44

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Police were forced to close off a portion of Interstate- 44 southbound near Oklahoma City following a rush hour crash on Friday.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident happened on the interstate just north of Southwest 15th Street. Officials blocked off the roadway upon arriving at the scene.

No injures have been reported as a result of the crash. However, motorists are being advised to avoid the area as delays are likely throughout Friday evening’s rush hour.
