Afternoon crash slows traffic on I-40

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A crash on Interstate 40 near the Clarence E. Page Municipal Airport forced officials to detour motorists Thursday afternoon.

According to the Oklahoma City Total Traffic Twitter page, the accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on I-4o westbound just before the Banner Road exit.

Authorities directed motorists to find an alternate route and avoid this portion of I-44 in general while lanes were narrowed. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
