MOORE, OK. – A woman was arrested after allegedly driving drunk and crashing her car into a pond on Monday afternoon.
According to News 9, the suspect, 47-year-old Vicky Bowron, was parked in the road on 4th Street when an officer stopped to try to render aid. When he approached her vehicle, she sped off, jumped a curb, and continued driving on the sidewalk. Pedestrians reportedly had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit. Bowron’s Subaru then crashed into a culvert at Veterans Memorial Park.
She admitted to officers that she had been drinking hours before the wreck. She was transported to the hospital for evaluation and for a blood draw. She was later booked for driving under the influence.
