Alleged DUI driver in custody after deadly ATV crash in Ardmore

ARDMORE, OK – Oklahoma Highway Patrol placed a 20-year-old woman in custody on suspicion of DUI following a deadly ATV crash in Ardmore on Saturday, KTEN said.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the 20-year-old woman crashed an ATV into a tree. Her passenger, also a 20-year-old woman, was left in serious condition.
EMS crews rushed the passenger, later identified as Alexis Harris, to a hospital in Plano, Texas, where she later died.
The driver is facing DUI charges and is also being charged for reckless driving and operating the ATV with an open container of beer in her hand. OHP captain Scott Hampton said she may face additional charges.
