LAWTON, OK – At least one person was sent to the hospital after a fiery car collision in Lawton on Thursday, KSWO reports.
The incident happened after 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest Cache Road and Northwest Homestead Drive.
Fire crews did not specify the events leading up to the crash or say how the car caught on fire. However, authorities said the impact of that collision caused debris to scatter two to three blocks.
Officials had to close eastbound Cache Road between Northwest 34th Street and Homestead Drive for many hours to accommodate the scene-clean-up process.
The physical condition of the hospitalized individual has not been made immediately clear.
