CADDO CO., OK – An accident involving an all-terrain vehicle claimed a 14-year-old boy on Tuesday in west-central Caddo County, reports News 9.

The fatal crash occurred in the evening near the intersection of East 1280 Road and County Street, which is just west of Fort Cobb Lake and about 76 miles southwest of Oklahoma City.

Officials say that a 14-year-old boy lost control of his ATV, causing it to leave the roadway and overturn, ejecting the driver.

The teen boy died after transport to a hospital in Carnegie. Authorities have not released his name to the public.

There were no additional passengers on the ATV at the time of the collision, and no other vehicles were involved.

A full investigation is underway.
