Authorities ID Man Killed in Oklahoma Motor Vehicle Accident

Authorities have identified a man who was killed in an Oklahoma car accident Tuesday.

According to officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 21 year-old Cameron Goforth, of Guthrie, was killed in a car accident Tuesday. Police say the accident occurred approximately a half-mile north of State Highway 51. The crash reportedly went unnoticed for over 30 minutes. Someone alerted authorities after driving over a piece of a metal warning sign.

According to Trooper Steve Burrows, Goforths vehicle plunged approximately 20 feet from the roadway into Stillwater Creek, which had about three feet of water. It is unclear why the car veered off the road, Burrows said.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
