Authorities id victim in train vs. pedestrian crash in north OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Police have released the identity of the 64-year-old female pedestrian who was struck and killed by a train on Tuesday.
According to KOCO News 5, Mauresia Hobbs was crossing the tracks at Britton Road and Western Avenue when the train hit and killed her. This is west of US-77 in north-central Oklahoma City.
At this time, police still aren’t sure why the victim was on the train tracks on Tuesday afternoon, but they say she died at the scene.
No other injuries have been reported in connection to the accident, which remains under investigation.
Drivers likely experienced delays Tuesday afternoon while work crews investigated and cleared the scene.
