Auto-pedestrian crash on Bartles Rd claims elderly man

BARTLESVILLE, OK – An elderly man died Saturday when a vehicle struck him along the highway in west-central Washington County, reports Fox 23 News.
The auto-pedestrian crash occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. on OK-123, or Bartles Road, between Minnesota Street and West 1775 Road in northeast Bartlesville. This is about 45 miles north of Tulsa.
Police say that 74-year-old William Ogans was walking along the highway when a car hit him, killing him at the scene of the crash.
Authorities haven’t shared any details about the driver involved in the accident; they’ve not referred to the incident as a hit-and-run.
The collision likely caused delays along OK-123 in northeast Bartlesville while emergency teams worked at the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
