Box truck rollover, oil spill on I-44 at US-75 closes eastbound exit ramp

TULSA, OK – Crews responded to an accident involving an overturned 18-wheeler along the interstate in Tulsa on Monday afternoon, reports News on 6.

The accident happened sometime before 1:50 p.m. on the eastbound exit from I-44 to US-75 northbound. This is just north of Bales Baseball Park near the Westside area.

Police say that for unknown reasons a box truck overturned while exiting the interstate. The truck spilled oil and cargo into the roadway.

At this time, no injuries have been reported in connection to the crash.

Officials closed the eastbound exit ramp while crews worked to contain the oil spill and clear the wreckage.

A full investigation is underway.
