Boy injured in Arpelar pedestrian accident

Information coming from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol stated that before 11:00 on the morning of Thursday, November 19, a boy, whose identity was not released, was struck by a Haywood Public School bus. The accident reportedly happened after the northbound school bus driver failed to notice the boy as he darted in front of the vehicle. The boy was run over with the rear portion of the bus and his parents transported him to a local hospital. He was later taken to a hospital in Tulsa to seek treatment for several injuries, including internal blunt force injuries. The bus operator was identified as 39-year-old Della Avona Cooper.
