Caney man charged with DUI after ATV chain-reaction crash near Bentley

NEAR BENTLEY, OK – A 40-year-old man from Caney was charged with aggravated DUI collision in relation to an ATV chain-reaction crash on Sunday.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol told KTEN that the incident unfolded when a driver of one ATV saw an animal on the road and swerved to avoid hitting it, which led them to crash into another ATV.

OHP said two adults and two children were occupying the two ATVS. One adult, a woman, was injured and was transported via a medical helicopter to a hospital for treatment. Her current physical condition has not been disclosed.

Law enforcement arrested a Caney resident, who has been identified as Cody Woolf. Woolf appeared to have been taken to the Atoka County Jail, according to his mug shot.

The Atoka County Sheriff’s Office assisted OHP in responding to the crash and the investigation.
