Car hits fire blocker truck on US-59 near Westville, injuring 1

ADAIR CO., OK – One person sustained injuries Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash involving a fire truck along US-59 in northeast Adair County, reports 5 News Online.
The incident happened around 9:18 p.m. on the southbound side of the highway at Chewey Road, which is north of Arrowhead Farm & Ranch.
The investigation indicates that a southbound 2010 Hyundai Sonata struck a parked Westville fire blocker truck along the highway. Fire crews had parked the truck to steer traffic away from the site of a prior crash.
Neither the driver of the Hyundai nor any fire officials sustained accidents in the crash. A passenger in the Hyundai was hurt and required hospitalization.
A full investigation is underway.
